The Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University implemented English Day as an effort to accelerate internationalization to support the World Class University (WCU) program.

 

The Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University implemented English Day as an effort to accelerate internationalization to support the World Class University (WCU) program. English Day is a basic activity to practice listening, reading, speaking and writing habits in English.

English proficiency is currently very important for lecturers and educational personnel in the FT Undip environment, especially now that FT Undip has opened an International Class Undergraduate Program (IUP) in 3 Departments, namely Chemical Engineering IUP, Civil Engineering IUP and Regional Planning IUP and City. This activity is planned to be held every Monday starting in December 2020, while the trial for the implementation of English Day has been conducted on Monday, November 30, 2020. The commitment of FT to support the program is also proven by holding English class training for lecturers and teaching staff coordinated by the Office of International Affairs, Faculty of Engineering. Classes are held offline and online to follow calls for restrictions on community activities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
